Now that you have committed to the college of you choice, you may think that your work is done. Unfortunately, before you can throw on your swim trunks and enjoy the summer, there are a few things left to do. Review the list below and make sure you are doing all you can to make your transition to college a smooth one.
Cross the Finish Line
Senior grades matter. Colleges can and will rescind offers if you fail to complete your coursework. Make sure you complete all of your classes and complete your graduation requirements.
Transcripts and Test Scores
Make sure that all of your documents are in. Check with your university to see if there are any outstanding requirements and make sure you give your school counselor/registrar all the time they need to submit those documents.
Did you submit all of the necessary paperwork? If not, you may find yourself hunting for an apartment come August.
Create a place in your home where you will begin to store any items you will be taking to college. Once housing is secured, find out what is provided and if you can rent/purchase your won fridge or microwave. Don't wait until the last minute to pack or you might find your parents making frequent trips to the post office.
You've done it! Take a moment to reflect on your hard work and enjoy your time prior to enrolling to college.
